What will you study?

As a student of our industry-built 22334VIC – Certificate IV in Cyber Security qualification, you will be introduced to current technologies and tools providing you with advanced technical and hands-on skills that can be immediately applied to any business or organisation upon graduation.
As Academy IT has delivered vendor-based training since 2007, you will undertake studies built upon best practice and cutting-edge vendor-based and ‘underground’ tools.
You will learn how to secure infrastructure, implement core detection and mitigation strategies, and understand common (and evolving) strategies in cyber-based attacks and infiltration.






Course Information
Students must be 18 years of age or older and it is recommended they have completed a relevant Certificate III in an ICT or related qualification or have six months industry experience.
Applicants for this qualification without relevant formal qualifications or experience may be requested to undertake a pre-assessment of industry knowledge and skills prior to enrolment to ensure the required foundational knowledge is in place to build upon with this Diploma level study.
22334VIC – Certificate IV in Cyber Security full course fees are $6,450 for full-time classroom study mode or $4,400 for self-paced online study mode.
There is Government funded support to subsidise course fees for students eligible for Skilling SA.
Skilling SA
If you are eligible for Skilling SA funding, your course fees for full-time classroom study will be $4,000 and self-paced online study will be $2,400. These fees are payable in installments. Please speak to our friendly team prior to enrolment.

For RPL to be granted, the course applicant must provide quality evidence that s/he:
- Has attained the competencies described in the unit/s of competency that are being claimed
- Possesses current competency in the unit/s that are being claimed
- Possesses the required underpinning knowledge specified in the unit/s of competency
- Has applied the relevant competencies in a context that is applicable to their area of specialisation in resource and infrastructure.
The evidence, which has been gathered by the assessor or the candidate, as proof of current competency may take a variety of forms and could include certification, references from past employers, testimonials from clients and work samples.
The assessor must ensure that such evidence complies with the rules of evidence, namely that it is authentic, valid, reliable, current and sufficient.
AIT offers a simple but methodical RPL process which is outlined in its Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) policy.

Full-Time Classroom – 12 Month Completion
Our full-time classroom study option is Monday to Friday from 9:00am – 4:30pm at our Adelaide CBD Training Centre, located at Level 4, 45 Grenfell Street, Adelaide SA 5000.
Self-Paced Online – 18-24 Month Completion
Our self-paced online study option allows you the flexibility to study online at anytime, from anywhere in Australia.
There is no minimum timeframe to complete this course. Students who are highly motivated, well-organised, experienced and committed to making time to study can complete the qualification at an accelerated pace, however we estimate the average student will complete within 18-24 months.
How does online study work?
You’ll have 24/7 access to our online learning portal where you can access all the course materials and study at your own pace. Academy IT expert trainers are available via email and phone and will schedule online discussions where you can join with fellow students to discuss learnings throughout the course. You’ll be supported 100% of the way, all from the comfort of your own home or office!
